Technical and Professional Details

At A.DORA®, we work within a slightly alkaline pH range. For colored hair: pH value approx. 6. For uncolored hair: pH value approx. 6–8. Note: The system works in a slightly alkaline range, which allows a gentle opening of the hair structure and ensures the optimal absorption of active ingredients without weakening or damaging the hair.
We generally do not recommend combining A.DORA® with other straightening systems, as chemical reactions can be unpredictable. If necessary, we recommend performing a test strand. Please note: Apply the product about 1 cm away from the previously straightened area. On the already straightened lengths and ends, a nourishing treatment or mask should be applied to create a barrier and prevent overlapping of products.
The A.DORA® Totally Smooth System was developed according to professional standards to provide a perfect balance between performance and care. The innovative formula combines effective and caring ingredients and is classified as a professional product with a chemical component (one part chemical), intended exclusively for salon use. The composition includes carefully selected components: Cetearyl Alcohol, Thioglycolic Acid, Propylene Glycol, Ammonium Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (derived from coconut oil), Dimethicone, Fragrance & Disodium EDTA. All components comply with current European and international safety standards for cosmetic products. For professional use only. Application is recommended exclusively by trained salon professionals.
The processing time depends on the condition and structure of the hair: Uncolored hair: 20–30 minutes (up to 35 mins). Colored / lightened hair: 15–20 minutes. For colored, healthy hair (shade 1.0 to 6.0): approx. 15–25 minutes. For highlighted or lightened, healthy hair: approx. 15–20 minutes. For damaged or heavily stressed hair: not to exceed 15–20 minutes. IMPORTANT: After rinsing Phase A, the towel-dried hair must be brought immediately into a smooth form. The final result depends significantly on this step.
The processing time of Phase B should not exceed 15 minutes.
Please use only a sulfate-free shampoo. Important: Do not use a deep-cleansing shampoo – this can negatively affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
Both treatments can be performed on the same day. We recommend straightening first and then coloring. However, depending on the hair condition, a short break between the treatments can also be beneficial.
Hair colors from shade 1.0 to 7.0 can be applied on the same day. For highlights, we recommend taking a break of one to two weeks. For bleaching, the oxidation strength should not exceed 3–6% – always check the hair structure during the processing time.
Yes, if the result is not satisfactory. Attention – Check hair condition! All steps remain identical. The processing time for the repetition is significantly shorter – up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours after the treatment before allowing the hair to come into contact with chlorinated water (e.g., in a swimming pool).
The processing time for porous ends should be reduced. Phase A and Phase B should initially be applied only to the roots and lengths, and during the last 5 minutes, carefully applied to the porous ends.
